Your Athlete Is Tough.
But They Shouldn’t Have to Do It Alone.
You’ve tried pep talks, encouragement, even tough love. But when your child is overwhelmed, anxious, or losing confidence, it’s hard to know what to say, or how to help.
We’ll show them how to take back control of their mind, body, and emotions, so they can show up with confidence when it matters most.
No pressure. No commitment. Just a conversation.
You’re doing everything you can. But when your kid is anxious, doubting themselves, or mentally spiraling... it’s hard to know how to help.
You’ve driven to every practice, cheered from the stands, and given every pep talk you can think of.
But when the pressure hits or confidence drops, it feels like nothing gets through.
We get it. You’re not trying to fix everything—you just want to know how to truly support your athlete when it matters most.
This is where we come in.
We train athletes to take control of their thoughts, emotions, and body.
And we give parents the tools to reinforce that training without making things worse.
How It Works
Simple, Personalized, and Built for Long-Term Growth
This isn’t a one-time pep talk—it’s a personalized coaching relationship built to help your athlete grow mentally and emotionally, not just physically.
We make it easy to get started—and intentional every step of the way. This isn’t a one-time pep talk. It’s a relationship, a plan, and a system built to help your athlete grow.
To help them perform at their best when it matters the most!
1
Assess & Align
We’ll start with a mental skills assessment for your son or daughter. We always welcome parents into the second half of Session #1 to go over goals and expectations together.
2
Train & Apply
Your athlete will work one-on-one with a certified coach to develop confidence, focus, emotional control, and proven strategies for high-pressure moments.
3
Reinforce & Grow
We’ll provide simple tools for your athlete to use between sessions—so they can apply what they’ve learned when it counts the most. We are always happy to follow up with parents and keep everyone on the same page.

What Parents, Coaches, and
Athletes Are Saying
Ryan P. - MLB Pitcher

"Without mental toughness, one mistake can lead to a long slump or a couple of long innings pitching. Coach Carnes' mental tactics helped me in high school and continue to help me today."
Nick F. - 2x National Championship QB

"The mental training I did with Coach Carnes is something that I found to be just as if not more important than the physical training I have done."
Andrew L. - State championship golfer

"The mental side of sports is not talked about enough. This year I was able to improve the mental side of my golf game and the results were incredible. Being mentally tough and learning to let go of bad shots is crucial to maximizing performance."
Josh Bryant - Individual and team state championship golf coach

"The system put together by Coach Carnes gives our entire program the ability to have a systematic approach across all teams in targeting areas of growth for mental development. The training plan allows us to utilize the same language, analysis tools, and strategies to optimize our development plans with our student-athletes. "
Jake Gilbert- State championship football coach

"I feel like the mental side of sports is truly the best chance for our athletes to gain an advantage and it's imperative for our kids who want to reach their full potential. Ben has coached at elite levels and has put exhaustive research into studying the brain and its effects on performance. He's the only person I know that has actually excelled in both areas to the point that he truly understands athletes and can recommend strategies for overcoming performance anxiety, competition stress, and fear. His knowledge and application have been priceless to our program."
Google Review - Mother of former athlete

"As a QB, our son helped to lead his 6A football team to back-to-back state runner-up titles. Blessed that he continues to play the game, he loves at the next level, D1 football. Grateful to Ben Carnes and for the mental training program which prepared our son for the toughest situations on the field and that will follow him in his personal life. The skills and tools taught have had a huge positive impact on his character, athletic career, success, performance, and mental toughness! Highly recommended!"
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I be involved in the sessions?
Absolutely. We typically include parents in the second half of Session #1, especially with younger athletes, to make sure everyone’s on the same page. After that, it’s about helping your athlete take ownership of their own mindset. That doesn’t mean you’re left out—it just means we’re building independence. We’ll often recommend quick check-ins or follow-ups between sessions to keep communication strong on both sides. There is no extra cost for outside phone calls, texts, or emails between sessions to go through what you're seeing or noticing.
Is this therapy or counseling?
Nope. This is not therapy. This is mental performance coaching. It’s about helping athletes develop skills to perform under pressure—not unpack past trauma or diagnose mental health conditions. We’ll give them tools they can use in real time to perform at their best.
Does this actually help?
Yes. Athletes come away from our sessions more confident, more composed, and more in control when it matters most. We’ve helped athletes win state & national titles, break out of slumps, earn scholarships, and rebuild belief in themselves after setbacks. Parents often say it’s the best investment they made in their child’s athletic journey and those word of mouth referrals are how we have grown into national brand with little to no marketing dollars being spent.
Can we work on specific struggles?
Absolutely. We’ll personalize everything to your athlete’s age, experience, sport, and goals. Whether they’re struggling with nerves, confidence, focus, or motivation—we’ll meet them where they are and help them grow.
What age is this for?
We work with athletes from middle school all the way to the professional level. Most of our sessions are geared toward high school and college athletes, but we’ve helped middle schoolers build strong habits early and coached pros who are chasing their next breakthrough. If your athlete is ready to take ownership of their mindset and wants to grow, we’ll meet them where they are.
We have worked with athletes as young as 10 or 11 but we need to have a conversation first to learn more about what they can handle.
What if I want to talk to someone before signing up?
No problem. You can always schedule a Discovery Call to ask questions, talk through your child’s situation, and see if it’s a good fit. No pressure. Just a conversation.
